Here
at Conservation Resources we have invented and produced a new generation
of archival boards and papers which address the shortcomings of traditional
alkaline buffered products. By including a mixture of specialised
activated carbons and/or molecular sieves with out alkaline buffers,
we produce MicroChamber paper and boards which overcome the
limitations of conventional alkaline buffered products.
MicroChamber
products can be used effectively as housings such as envelopes, folders,
boxes, matting, framing and interleaving paper, and they provide great
benefits when used in exhibit cases, drawers, cabinets and high density
storage areas to inhibit tarnishing and other manifestations of deterioration
caused by a build-up of harmful compounds, whether from materials
used to construct the exhibit case or housing, the artifacts themselves,
or from deleterious molecules in the vicinity of collections or the
environment itself.
