For the protection of Gramophone products the recommendation is that the record be removed from its original paper or cellophane housing and replaced in a specially designed archival storage jacket.
These jackets, the design of which was recommended by the South West Research institute of America for the storage of phonographic collection of the library congress, consist of four layers of material laminated together, a Kraft paper (exterior layer), aluminium foil and polythene. The polythene and foil act as vapour barriers whilst the inner polythene layer protects the surface of the record from abrasion and damage.
Sold in packs of 10.
We also recommend that the phonograph cover be stored in one of our Polyester Pockets.
