Tray & Lid Archival Boxes

Two-part boxes have a separate tray and lid, and on a telescope-style box the lid slides down over the tray. They are quick to open, stack well and come in every depth from shallow print boxes to deep record storage, which is why they are the most common box in an archive store.

This range covers general-purpose boxes such as Classic Archival Boxes, made from kraft-lined board stitched with brass wire, alongside boxes sized for particular collections: newspapers and comics, photographs and prints, sheet music, LPs, cassettes and VHS tapes, textiles up to 1016 mm long, regimental caps and shoes. Large Format Boxes go up to A0 for maps and plans. Many are metal-edged in our own warehouse and some are sent flat for self-assembly. Several trays can be made drop-front or with all sides rigid, so add a note to your order if you have a preference.
